For boat lovers, the Moraira Marina is a first-class facility with more than 600 moorings, dry storage and a repair and service area. With a strong nautical background stemming from the fishing industry, sailing comes second nature to most people born in the area, and you can find plenty of opportunities to learn yourself with a number of sailing schools. Kayaking
A fantastic way to see some of the hidden coves, cliffs and caves of Moraira, Calpe, and Benissa. Kayak trips can be arranged with Las Antipodas and are suitable for all levels of kayaker, from beginner to advanced.
Starting at Les Basetes beach, tours are accompanied and last between 1 and 3 hours. All equipment is supplied, and a short training session is given before the kayak tour commences. Kayaking in Moraira, Calpe, and Benissa is a great way to explore the coastline for all the family.
Diving
Explore the fascinating underwater world of plants and sea creatures by scuba diving in Moraira. There are several underwater routes, information on which can be found at the Moraira Tourist Information Centre. The Moraira diving centres offer diving equipment hire and have teams of qualified PADI instructors.
Scuba Moraira is also located near Moraira Marina and offers diving courses and dives for all levels, from beginner to advanced. Night dives are also available.
La Galera Diving School, is based in the port of Moraira and also runs try dives, boat trips and underwater tours.
Snorkelling
If you prefer not to dive but to snorkel, then the Costa Blanca offers the perfect location. The tranquil Mediterranean waters mean perfect snorkelling conditions. Snorkelling is a great way to explore the underwater world at a leisurely pace. The sea is clear and warm, and there is an abundance of marine and plant life🤿🌊
The beach El Portet in Moraira is a perfect example for snorkelling as the waters aren’t too deep and there’s very little current. You can buy or rent snorkelling equipment from Scuba Moraira, just along from Moraira Marina. Calpe and Benissa also offer many beaches and coves perfect for snorkelling, like Cala Pinets in Benissa or the beach Cantal Roig in Calpe.
Jet-skiing
Jet-skiing – an exciting way to enjoy the Costa Blanca coastline and see places you can´t get to from the road. Enjoy the adrenaline rush and unforgettable experience of jet-skiing along the coast and exploring hidden coves and caves.
Jet-skis can be hired from Tsunami Aventura in Moraira or Calpexperience in Calpe. Tours go, among others, to Calpe (Peñón de Ifach) and the Cabo de la Nao on the outskirts of Javea.
